ONE OF SELECTED PANDEMIES IN THE PAST

Aim: The aim of the contribution is to draw attention to the “old” sexually transmitted disease, which so far have not disappeared from the map of the world and for humanity is still dangerous. On the basis of historical development to show what kind of suffering and the dangers of sexually transmitted diseases brought and still can bring.

Method: For data collection was chosen analysis of documents and data, including the study of historical sources.

Results and discussion: On the basis of data collection and analysis of documents was summarised current and historical facts of Czech Republic and Europe.

Conclusion: In the world there are an estimated 12 million people affected by syphilis, which is still a dangerous sexually transmitted disease. This fact is a warning in particular for young people, while the possibilities of global travel, should not forget about the possible danger and to give due attention to prevention. Presented information to bring you an overview of the development of sexually transmitted diseases, the goal is reflection, motivation and warning.
