Scope of the journal

The Nursing Perspectives journal is a peer-reviewed specialist scientific journal. The editors accept original research articles, review articles and other submissions concerning the domain of nursing, health and social issues in relation to health and disease. Submissions from the following areas are accepted for publication:

  • Nursing (clinical nursing, nursing management, evidence-based nursing, cultural aspects of nursing, nursing ethics, quality of life in disease)
  • Midwifery
  • Physical therapy and rehabilitation
  • Occupational therapy
  • Psychology
  • Sociology
  • Emergency medicine and paramedic science
  • Public health
  • Specialist domains in health care, articles focusing on improvement of health care provision and development of theoretical foundations in health sciences.

Only articles which have not yet been published and are not being peer-reviewed and considered for publication elsewhere can be submitted for the review process.

Journal articles are accepted in the Czech, Slovak and English languages. All submissions are reviewed by two independent reviewers in a double-blind review procedure.

Further, reports from professional organizations, editorials, reviews of recent publications, conference reports, experience reports from staff mobilities and short personal communication can be considered for publication.

The author(s) is/are fully responsible for the contents and form of their submissions. Submissions are archived in the editorial system. Authors of published articles do not receive royalties.

The Nursing Perspectives journal is published in printed and electronic forms bi-annually by the Faculty of Public Policies in Opava, Silesian University in Opava.
