Background: According to epidemiological data, breast cancer is currently the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women living in developed countries. Breast cancer is a life-threatening disease, but it also interferes with several aspects of health, including reproductive and sexual function.

Aim: The main aim of the study was to assess sexuality and quality of life in women with breast cancer.

Methods: The research was conducted in a quantitative manner using the Quality of Life Questionnaire for Breast Cancer 23 (EORTC QLQ-BR23), Sexual Quality of Life-Female (SQOL-F) tools and an attached sheet with demographic data (age, marital status, number of children, stage of disease, type of therapy, type of surgery, length of time elapsed since diagnosis and income level).

Results and  Discussion:
The study population consisted of 100 respondents. Within the EORTC QLQ-BR23, the highest rated domains were Arm-related symptoms and Body image. The lowest rated domains were Treatment Side Effects and Sexual Enjoyment. Within the SQOL-F, the highest rated domain was Sexual and Partner Satisfaction. The lowest rated area was Sexual Repression.

Conclusions: The results obtained could provide assistance in the education of health professionals. The results highlight the problems that women with breast cancer have, allowing the topic to receive more attention.
