PROSTITUTION IN THE CROSS-SECTION OF HISTORY UP TO 15TH CENTURY – PART 1

Introduction: Prostitution is as old as mankind itself and as such is fully in society. It has been established, although numerous attempts have been made to eliminate or reduce it completely. The following post deals mainly with female prostitution, which even today. It has not disappeared, on the contrary, its impact can be seen in connection with the mobility of the population, both with migration and the development of tourism.
Aim: The aim of the publication is to give an overview of the development of prostitution since its beginnings in Egypt, including the first brothels.
Methods: For data collection, theanalysis ofdocuments indomestic andforeign databases and using keywords. The information was drawn from domestic and foreign reference sources, which are listed in the Literature section at the end of the paper. The authors drew a number of materials from their own archive collections and documents, which Associate Professor Janiš collected for more than a quarter of a century.
Results: The results were analyzed and processed into a chronological overview.
Conclusion: The issue of prostitution has always been a big issue for the whole society. Prostitution is a phenomenon that has been part of the life of society since ancient times and as such cannot be directly condemned. Only social, health problems, crime associated with it and uncontrollable development can be understood as a phenomenon of harmful society. There is often moral devastation of certain social groups that see prostitution as a means of ensuring a livelihood and a certain standard of living.
