HOME HEMODIALYSES IN PRACTICE – CASE STUDY

Home hemodialysis is a commonly used method in clinical practise in the modern   world. The presented case report describes the  first  experience  at  our  workplace  with training and initiation of home hemodialysis in the timeline of a specific patient with chronic kidney
disease. This case report presents the use of home hemodialysis, where through our qualitative research case study the effect and benefit of performing hemodialysis in a home environment of a properly educated patient by non-medical staff was evaluated. The change in the implementation of the elimination method positively affected the patient's satisfaction and quality of life. In the presented literature, positive results are described pointing to a reduced incidence of complications and benefits to improve the quality of  life.
